He led an organizational change which helped Equitable Life improve delivery quality, ratchet up business and IT collaboration, and decrease time-to-market for core product development.

This talk will feature an OpenAgile success story about a very smart cross functional team struggling to solve a tough business challenge and how OpenAgile provided a fresh framework to look beyond solving problems and became a catalyst for organizational change.

Mishkin Berteig

Mishkin leads, mentors, trains and coaches teams and organizations using agile methodologies. He have served as a project manager, a senior consultant, a mentor, a methodology consultant, a senior software architect and a team lead on various projects, mostly in the financial services industry. He currently works exclusively through his consulting company, Berteig Consulting Inc. anywhere in Canada and China. He is the primary contributor to Agile Advice .

James Heidema has over the 20+ years experience in the financial service industry, and had trained 160,000+ managers and salespersons in 30+ countries. James trained and coached various teams and companies throughout Canada & Europe on Agile Scrum and OpenAgile methodologies since 2008. He recently published his 7th book - The Passionate Sales Manager, and has 6 other books in print in 12 languages.
Garry Berteig
Garry Berteig was co-founder of OpenAgile in 2004. He contributed to the core concept of using Agile methods in environments outside of software development. He is committed to helping individuals, teams and organizations apply OpenAgile to transform their way of working. Garry Berteig has worked as a television director, media specialist, instructional designer, researcher and freelance broadcaster. He began teaching for the faculty of art at Keyano College, Fort McMurray, Alberta in 1990, and retired in August 2012. His students have achieved success in their continued studies in institutions across Canada and the USA. In 2010 the Alberta Faculty Association presented him with an award for innovation in teaching based on the OpenAgile Framework. He is currently working with Suncor project management for Corporate Effectiveness and Training.
